Nelson Faria
Host and Artistic Director
One of Brazil's most important musicians, Nelson Faria's musical portfolio includes 21 recorded albums, 8 books (two of which have editions in the USA, Japan, and Italy), a DVD with the group NOSSO TRIO, the video-lesson "Toques de Mestre," and the "Guitar Lessons" application for Apple devices.
Nelson is the general director and host of the program "UM CAFÉ LÁ EM CASA," with over 2,600 videos published on YouTube (with more than 350 thousand followers and 46 million views). He works alongside the most important big bands in Europe and the USA as a guest arranger and soloist.
In 1983, he moved to Los Angeles, USA, where he attended the Guitar Institute of Technology (GIT) and had the privilege of studying with masters such as Joe Pass, Joe Diorio, Frank Gambale, Scott Henderson, Howard Roberts, Ron Eschete, and Ted Greene.
International Experience
He has performed at the most important international jazz festivals, including the North Sea Jazz Festival (Netherlands), Montreal International Jazz Festival (Canada), Montreux Jazz Festival (Switzerland), San Francisco Jazz Festival (USA), among many others.
Luiz Nogueira
Director and Producer
Luiz Nogueira has been leading LN COMUNICAÇÃO since 1994. He holds a degree in Performance in Guitar and Arranging from BERKLEE COLLEGE OF MUSIC (Boston, USA) and a degree in Systems Analysis from PUC-RIO — Pontifical Catholic University (Rio de Janeiro).
LN COMUNICAÇÃO has been operating in the cultural sector for over 30 years, developing projects such as:
- VILLA-INFO System for the computerization of the Villa-Lobos Museum.
- In the 1980s, he produced numerous video clips for SONY MUSIC in Brazil.
- He produced and published several SONG-BOOKS® in partnership with Almir Chediak Produções Ltda.
- Multimedia CD-ROMs about the Life & Work of Heitor Villa-Lobos and the Ernesto Nazareth, King of Choro.
- Produced the fazDIFERENÇA Award trophy by artist Carmem Florà for the newspaper O GLOBO.
- Creation of the ART AND TECHNOLOGY CENTER at the School of Visual Arts of Parque Lage (Rio de Janeiro) with sponsorship from Oi Futuro.
- Águas de Março and Estação Tom Jobim Projects with the Tom Jobim Institute in São José do Vale do Rio Preto, RJ (Brazil).
- FILE RIO - International Electronic Language Festival held at Instituto Oi Futuro (Rio de Janeiro) with sponsorship from Oi Telemar.
