Guitar / Brazil - One of the most important Brazilian musicians, NELSON FARIA has a musical repertoire that includes 21 recorded albums, 8 books (two of which have editions in the USA, Japan, and Italy), a DVD with the group NOSSO TRIO, the video lesson “Toques de Mestre” (Master Touches), and the Apple app “Guitar Lessons”. In addition, he has participated as a musician, arranger, and producer on more than 200 CDs by national and international artists. In 1983, he moved to Los Angeles, USA, where he attended the Guitar Institute of Technology (GIT) and had the privilege of working with masters Joe Pass, Joe Diorio, Frank Gambale, Scott Henderson, Howard Roberts, Ron Eschete, and Ted Greene. In 2001, he was awarded the Virtuose Scholarship by the Ministry of Culture, returning to the USA to develop arrangements and orchestration with Manny Albam, Michael Abene, and Jim McNeely. Currently, in addition to being the general director and presenter of the program Um Café Lá Em Casa — with more than 2,600 episodes and more than 350,000 followers on YouTube — he is the coordinator of the online music school Fica a Dica Premium and works alongside the most important big bands in Europe and the USA as an arranger and guest soloist.
